ABSTRACT: This study examines strategies for promoting inclusive education in vocational settings, focusing on enhancing access and participation for diverse learner populations. The objectives were to (1) identify barriers to inclusive education in vocational programs, (2) evaluate existing strategies and initiatives aimed at promoting inclusivity, and (3) propose effective strategies to foster a more inclusive vocational education environment. A survey design was chosen to collect data from vocational educators, administrators, and students with diverse learning needs, providing a comprehensive view of inclusivity practices and challenges. The sample size comprised 220 participants, selected through purposive sampling to ensure representation from various disability groups, socioeconomic backgrounds, and educational levels. The case study was conducted in Ibadan, Nigeria, selected for its diverse vocational education institutions and inclusive education initiatives. Findings revealed that while efforts to promote inclusive education were underway, significant barriers such as inadequate resources, lack of specialized training for educators, and societal stigmas persisted. Effective strategies included enhancing infrastructure for accessibility, providing professional development on inclusive teaching practices, and fostering a supportive and inclusive school culture.
